Amit Chaturvedi Khelo Ka Mela: A Tribute and a Dream

Sports are not just a physical activity—they are one of life’s greatest teachers.

Our respected Amit Chaturvedi Sir also believed that for the healthy physical and mental growth of children, both outdoor and indoor games are equally important.

To honour his vision and dreams, Khelo Ka Mela was launched in 2024 in his loving memory.

Our Purpose

The aim of Khelo Ka Mela is not just fun and entertainment, but the holistic development of every child. It teaches children discipline, mutual respect, the pursuit of excellence, how to lose sportingly, introduces them to the spirit of teamwork, and most importantly, helps them learn important life lessons through sports.

To ensure children participate in games suitable for their age and abilities, we divide them into three levels:

Planning and Execution

Reparations for the fair begin several weeks in advance. Practice run-up sessions are conducted in all our branches to prepare the children. The first round of shortlisting is done here.

Then, every year in mid-January, we conclude the mela with a grand outdoor event for shortlisted students, who compete with each other. Many just find the courage to participate when they observe others!

This event includes both indoor and outdoor games to support balanced physical and mental development. Just like our library aims for the all-around growth of children, Khelo Ka Mela is also a major step in the same direction.

Here, children learn discipline through play and also get the chance to enjoy a memorable outing.

Excursions, in addition to the regular outings, we take children out to see historical monuments, science museums, rail museums, zoos, art shows, parks and open spaces.
